Why we do what we do

Scene:  Last night, our home.  The doorbell rings, Craig answers to find a 20-something young man at the door.

Young Man:  Hi, I'm canvassing the neighborhood, and I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions......

Craig:  Okay.....

YM:  Do you and your family attend church regularly?

Craig: Yes.

YM:  What church do you attend?

Craig:  The LDS Church.

YM:  LDS Church?

Craig:  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

YM:  Oh, the LDS Church.  Have you ever heard of the --------- Lutheran Church?

Craig: No.

YM:  Can I ask, what activities your church provides that make you go?

Craig:  Well....... I believe it's true.  

The young man looks a little confused, surprised, then turns to leave.

Hypothetically speaking....

if you/your spouse (or both) could keep your current job and work from anywhere, where would you choose to live and why?

Conditions:  you must keep the same salary as you currently have; you would have to pay for the move yourself.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake

Is the zucchini starting to roll in?  Too much in your garden?  Are your neighbors a little too willing to share their harvest?  This is the best zucchini recipe--the moistest chocolate cake I've ever had.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake

3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup baking cocoa

3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 cups grated zucchini

2 Tbsp white vinegar

1 tsp vanilla

3/4 cup water

Mix dry ingredients.  Add wet ingredients.  Pour into greased & floured 9x13 pan.  Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  Top with your favorite chocolate frosting (or not).
