So serene

Fitness Report, Week Ending 22 Jan
DIET
I did track my food this week, but I wasn't always within my goal. Baby steps.
EXERCISE
One day of walking with a friend. Bonus: fantastic conversation.
HEALTHY CHANGE
Time to start back on these. I'm working my way into this--if I do everything at one and it's overwhelming I won't continue.
GENERAL
I'm feeling pretty good about this week. I'm progressing toward my goal, even if it is in small amounts. Progress is good.
THE DETAILS
Weight change from last week: -.6 lbs
Total Weight loss: 16.2 lbs
Neck measurement: no change
Waist measurement: no change
Hip measurement: no change

Do-over
Can I get a do-over on my fitness plan? It's been two weeks and I admit I can't seem to get into it. I did awesome the first five days, then Lew's birthday hit....then his birthday party. Then my birthday, then Craig went out of town for a week....and that week included a no-school voting day, a vomiting child, snow/freezing rain, and school delays. Excuses? Yes. Felt very real to me? Also, yes. So there you have it. Life is like that.
So, if you're like me and have already wavered on your New Year's commitments, let's give it another go. Fitness 2012, take 2!

A Christmas Wish Came True
This morning I was in Dogger's first grade classroom, helping as I do each week. His teacher gave each child the chance to stand and share something they had done or a favorite gift they received over the holiday. There were lots of Apple products mentioned, a few American Girl dolls, a bicycle, and other favorite gifts (Dogger shared that his birthday was last Wednesday). Toward the end of the sharing time a wiggly, challenging, sincere little girl shared that she received her Christmas wish-- everyone had had a happy new year.
I love volunteering at the school.

Fitness Plan Re-boot
It's a new year and time to get back into my fitness plan. I took the month of December off because I wanted to enjoy the season without feeling guilty or stressed. Did I gain a couple of pounds? Yes, I did. Does it bother me? No, it doesn't. It was a choice I made.
My plan is unchanged, but I'll re-post it any case any of you might like to join me. (Please do, and let me know that you will be. Then, let's keep track of each other).
DIET
I will track all food and beverages, aiming for a daily caloric intake that will allow me to lose 1 lb. per week.
EXERCISE
I will workout at least 4x week, for at least 30 minutes. I must sweat.
OTHER
I will adopt one of Skip Hellewell's Healthy Changes each week.
REPORTING
Each Monday I will write a post reporting changes in weight and measurements. I will also discuss my experience with the Healthy Change of the week and general observations.

Weight change from last week: N/A
Total Weight loss: 15.6 lbs
Neck measurement: no change
Waist measurement: no change
Hip measurement: no change
